Become a "Kitty Guardian Angel"...Sponsor a homeless cat!

At APSR, we always have many wonderful homeless cats and kittens available for adoption, all at lower adoption fees than most non-profit, no-kill cat rescue organizations in Georgia. In fact, our Adoption fees only cover a portion of the actual cost of Veterinary care, as well as general care, we incur before that cat can be placed up for adoption.

How do we do this?

We rely on sponsors, otherwise known as our "Kitty Guardian Angels" who make a one-time donation towards the Veterinary care of a specific cat or kitten, whether at our shelter now or waiting to come here when space becomes available.  Our Sponsorship program helps to keep our up-front Veterinary expenses down so that we can offer affordable adoption fees (to approved home only of course).  And affordable adoption fees facilitate more adoptions, which in turn allows us to rescue more homeless cats.

Why do we do this?

Our philosophy is very simple. We don't want the issue of money to come in between a needy cat and a good home. The economic downturn has hit every one very hard, and we know money is tight. But there are still many wonderful people who want to give a cat a good home but cannot afford to pay the $100-$150 adoption fee that many rescue organizations charge. And we have found that typically people who adopt from us spend more on cat supplies and toys on the day they adopt. That certainly makes for a healthy and happy cat!  And isn't that why we are here? Our Golden Rule is: "It's not about the money...it's about the cats".

You can sponsor a cat already in our program, or another homeless cat that desperately needs to be rescued. The typical one-time sponsorship amount is between $50-$100, but any amount is greatly appreciated. If you choose, you will receive regular updates and we will certainly contact you when your sponsor kitty gets adopted.
